Wordless Wednesday: Chastain Park Arts Festival

This weekend the family and I decided to do a little something different instead of our normal. We couldn’t figure out what so I took to Facebook to my favorite blogging group and asked the members what was going on around the Atlanta area that was affordable for a family of 4. I have to thank the ladies and gentlemen of the group they gave a great list. One suggestion was the Chastain Park Arts Festival.
We thought that, that was a great selection so we loaded up the car and was off.

It didn’t take us long to get there. I was completely blown away by the beautiful art. I asked the artists if I could take some pictures for my blog and everyone that I asked said that they didn’t mind. So in the picture above is some of the art that we saw. They are some very talented artists. I got some business cards but unfortunately I misplaced them once I find them I will update this article with them. I enjoyed walking through and seeing all the art. Tyler and Nishe’ were really impressed as well. They pointed out a number of things.

We also enjoyed some of the games they had some booths. Like the Georgia Aquarium had a booth where you could spin a wheel and win a prize by answering a question. The only one who got a question right was Nishe’. We did try some food. There was a barbecue booth there. So Tyler and I had hotdogs and Nishe’ had a chicken sandwich. We didn’t get to enjoy the food the way we wanted to because there were a bunch of bees around. But all in all it was good. The kids also enjoyed seeing all the dogs that were around. Tyler really got a kick out of seeing this one dog that was half his size and would be even taller if he stood on two feet. The dog was really sweet though. His owner said he didn’t like getting in trouble because he was so sensitive. He was a really sweet dog. We had a great time. I hope to attend many more festivals.
