I’m not exactly a baker. However when I do get the bug I enjoy it. This weekend my kiddos wanted to make some cookies. Tyler wanted snickerdoodles to be exact. So we headed to the store and bought some pre-made cookie mix. It was the Betty Crocker brand. I’m not brave enough to attempt scratch just yet. We didn’t make them right away. We actually made them 3 days later. One night we were just sitting at home and the kids asked to make them. So we made snickerdoodles. Okay let me be honest the kids made the cookies. I just supervised. I made sure they had everything they needed and they followed instructions. I helped them a time or two but they basically did everything themselves. I was very proud of them and they turned out very good. They were so yummy!
The instructions were fairly easy:
Materials:
1 egg
1 stick of butter
1 tablespoon of water (We actually wound up adding more)
Pre-made Betty Crocker mix
-We put the Betty Crocker mix in the bowl.
-Then we melted the butter.
-Once the butter was melted we mixed it in with the mix.
-We followed that up with one egg
-Then 1 tablespoon of water
-We mixed the ingredients up well. Then we formed the mix into little balls and put them in the pan.
-After that we placed them in the oven on 375 and cooked them for 20 minutes. Actually 30 because when we took them out they were done. Oh yeah don’t forget to preset your oven on 375 before you begin.
Like I said very easy and my kids did it all.
