For the past two years now The Husband and I have been bike riding. Mainly during summer. It is great for exercise and just a leisurely activity. We have gotten a little more serious about it since Covid 19 caused everything to shut down. All of us have seen what is going on in the news. The death of George Floyd and numerous of other black men here in the United States has brought the conversation of race to the forefront of everyone’s minds. I definitely know it has been on my mind. I am the mother of a young black man, wife to a black man, daughter of a black man, sister to two black men, and the list goes on. Yesterday my husband and I went to a restaurant. As we were sitting down to eat I started to pay attention to the way I eat. I got to a point where I was full so I stopped eating. Then a few minutes later I started eating again. I wasn't really hungry I just was eating. I stopped eating. Not even five minutes later my hand was back in the bag.
