Wow! When I wrote my last blog post over a year ago. I fully intended to start blogging again consistently. That didn’t exactly happen because life got in the way.
My life took a couple of turns that I wasn’t expecting. Then before I knew it -BOOM!- a year had passed.
I wish there was enough time to explain it all but it would take me forever to tell the whole story. So I will keep it brief. There has been some employment transitioning, one of my kids moved out, and I have been trying to figure out who the heck I am through all of this. To say that my mental health was hanging on by a thread would be an understatement.
But I am here now.
Can I promise a new blog post every week? No. But what I can promise is that when the notion to write hits, I will.

One of the things that I’ve learned through all of this is that I have to make myself a priority. Right now, that looks like making sure that I am doing things that make me happy. It also means not putting pressure on myself to meet the standards of others.
To be honest, the pressure isn’t even coming from other people. It’s coming from me- competing against people who may or may not be competing against me, or I have completely made up this competition in my head. I think its more the latter.
So I am going to focus on my own interests.
Just to be clear, moving forward, you’re going to find a variety of posts here. I’ll be sharing things like lifestyle content, recipes, personal growth, book reviews, product reviews, and maybe even the occasional restaurant review. This blog is going to be a bit of a melting pot.
I hope you’re ready for the ride, because I know I am.
